Crew Manager

The Netherlands- Amsterdam

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

  • Supervise the crew department in their daily workflows and procedures (both Amsterdam as Mumbai office)
  • Control future crew needs in order to meet company’s targets and goals
  • Systematically monitors the effectiveness of verification and inspection activities within the department and fleet.
  • Prepare recruitment plan according to the company business plan
  • Ensure the crew department is familiar with all processes, procedures and policies from the company
  • Monitoring changes in international lows and regulations in the personal maritime area
  • Create new policies and procedures for crew on board in order to meet the needs and expectations of the crew
  • Approve the monthly salaries and ensure it will be transferred in time.
  • Manage crew complaints as per MLC 2006 and company policies
  • Keep in close contact with the Technical, QA and Operational departments.
  • Monitor all vessels are in line with the international laws and company policies. Inform the management in case of an expiry date or change
  • Approve monthly disbursement accounts (DA) and monthly payrolls of all vessels
  • Manage all expenses and budgets. Inform new senior officers during their visit about work flow, company policies and procedures.
  • Keep in contact with booking agents, perform routine audits as per company policy.
  • Monitor crew performance and evaluations
  • Manage training programs and try to expand the crew knowledge and performances.
  • Ensure that vessels meet the Matrix criteria for different oil majors. Prepare a backup plan in case a crew change, or additional crew is needed.
  • Manage long term career program for all employees. Ensure the improvement and conditions on board.
  • Member of company emergency team
  • Apply crew performances as it appears in the yearly KPIs
  • Represent crew aspects in all company official meetings
  • responsible for safe and correct working conditions both onboard as in the office, in addition to comply and improve a safety culture throughout the fleet in order to achieve the company HSSE objectives of zero accidents/incidents
  • Accountable for achieving his objectives

WHAT YOU’LL NEED?

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Good computer skills
  • Marine background is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and be 24/7 available
