Crew Payroll Controller

Greece-Athens

The Crew Payroll Controller is responsible for the crew payroll of the vessels and the DAs of the manning agents. Working in a multi-national environment, the official language will be English.

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

  • Prepare all the crew payments for the number of vessels as per the Crew Manager’s order.
  • Check D/A from Manning agents monthly and verify the monthly payments regarding seafarers’ actual days on board and other payments— flights, medicals, transport, etc.
  • Check the monthly portage bill and its components, like the variable and slop chest.
  • Crossing the portage bill entry in the accounting system.
  • Capt.’s monthly cash statement management is on board.
  • Crew claim handling.
  • Checking all on leave pending payments.
  • Seafarers payrolls.
  • Monthly crew allotments preparation and processing for further approval.
  • Communicate with vessels on special allotments and regular allotments on salary matters.
  • Sign off allotments.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED?

  • A certified bookkeeper
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office (Mainly Excel and Outlook).
  • Fluent English speaker.
  • Well-organized and respectful of colleagues and the work environment.
  • Accurate and proactive.
  • Team player with positive attitude.
  • Experience in the maritime sector is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
