Engineering Projects Controller

We are seeking an Engineering Project Controller to support engineering and new building projects across the organization. The role focuses on ensuring projects are well defined, organized, and followed through from start to finish.
You will support project managers and engineering team by tracking progress, keeping information up to date, and ensuring clear timelines, tasks, and documentation, while working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
This role is well suited for someone with a strong project-management foundation and a structured mindset, who can bring clarity and discipline to complex projects—even without prior maritime experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

  • Project Controls
    • Maintain project schedules, milestones, Gantt charts, and dashboards with full visibility and accuracy.
    • Monitor progress, identify delays or risks, and escalate when needed to keep timelines on track.
  • Documentation & Data Accuracy
    • Keep all project records updated: schedules, decisions, technical logs, testing timelines, extra costs, and deliverables.
    • Ensure structured, consistent, and organized documentation across all project phases.
  • CrossFunctional Coordination
    • Coordinate workflows between Engineering, Technical, IT, shipyards, suppliers, and vessel teams.
    • Drive follow‑up on action items and contractual deadlines until tasks are fully closed.
  • Project Definition & Quality Gates
    • Support creation of WBS, scope definitions, phase descriptions, and success criteria.
    • Verify completion of deliverables and ensure proper phase closeout and documentation updates.
  • Support for Engineering & Newbuilding Projects
    • Assist with coordination of engineering initiatives
    • Support planning and follow‑up of inspections, tests (FAT/design reviews), and site‑related activities.
    • Connection with the external auditors

WHAT YOU’LL NEED?

  • Experience in project control, PMO, project coordination, or project planning
  • Ability to define and structure projects, including work breakdown, project stages, and clear documentation
  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to work with data, timelines, and reports
  • Hands-on experience with Monday.com for dashboards, workflows, and task tracking
  • High level of English (written and spoken)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Independent, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong follow-up skills and ownership mindset
  • Advantage: Familiarity with technical environments, engineering projects, or the maritime / shipbuilding domain.
