The IT Vessel & User Support Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day hardware, software and connectivity support to users across XT offices and onboard company-managed vessels. The role includes incident resolution, preventive maintenance, user training, equipment management and participation in IT projects. The position requires a proactive, service-oriented approach and the ability to support users remotely in a global and operational environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO?

  • Provide IT support to office users and onboard vessels.  
  • Manage Service Desk tickets, emails and other support requests.  
  • Resolve incidents and service requests according to the company’s IT service levels and procedures.  
  • Install, configure and maintain computers, peripherals, software and business applications.  
  • Monitor and troubleshoot computer systems, networks and connectivity.  
  • Repair or replace IT equipment when required.  
  • Prepare computers, access permissions and user accounts for new employees.  
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.  
  • Train users on company systems, cybersecurity awareness and IT best practices.  
  • Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory.  
  • Maintain technical documentation, support procedures and knowledge-base articles.  
  • Participate in IT projects and technology implementations.  
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required.  
  • Visit company vessels to provide onsite support when necessary. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED?

  • At least three years of experience in end-user and remote IT support.  
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows and Office applications.  
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi and VPN.  
  • Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID or Intune is an advantage.  
  • Maritime IT experience is an advantage.  
  • Good written and spoken English.  
  • Strong service orientation, reliability and ability to work independently.  
  • Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support for urgent incidents.
